NEW Zealand’s Foreign Minister Murray McCully says his government would like to see Papua New Guinea hold the national election as originally scheduled.
McCully said New Zealand was trying to be supportive of efforts to hold the election on time.
“PNG will need to understand that this is something that other countries are taking a close interest in,” he said.
“We hope they will land in a good place.
“There are a number of players with differing views, and conveying them is a problem.”
